Originally from Queens, NY, after graduating with a BA in mathematics from Fordham University, Charlotte lived and worked in the greater New Haven, CT area until moving to Churchville in May of 1998 to accept the pastoral position at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Charlotte taught high school and college mathematics for thirteen years before completing her masters degree in Pastoral Ministry. In 1989, she was appointed by the late Archbishop John F. Whealon to a six year term as a member of the Collaborative Ministry Team pastoring St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Oxford, CT. She has since worked as a hospital chaplain and is certified by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. But her true passion is parish ministry, and after her temporary appointment here, Charlotte was delighted to begin her 1st term in June, 1999, as the pastoral leader of St. Vincent's. She is now in her third and final term in this role. |
